How to scare people out of thinking

If you put a rat in a maze and shock him if he goes down a specific branch, he'll learn not to go down that branch anymore. Likewise, if you have branches of logic tacit to your system but shame people for going down certain branches, they'll no longer think those branches actually exist. Anyone who goes down those paths will seem like a conspiracy theorist, just for having thought through the actual logic of the actual system.
